Road Workers Pinned after Driver Falls Asleep at Wheel

According to a report from ksat.com, two construction workers were pinned by an SUV after the driver fell asleep at the wheel. The accident occurred on San Antonio’s NW side on the I-10 access road between UTSA and De Zavala Road. According to police, the driver nodded off at the wheel, awoke suddenly and overcorrected the vehicle, and had the collision with the two construction workers. The workers were pinned by the vehicle and were hospitalized for their injuries.

Both workers suffered serious injuries, but none of the injuries were life-threatening.
